Ever feel like you are out there, on the range, all alone. Well guess what darlin' you aren't!
As I reached the ripe ole' age of 30 I got to thinking that I needed to find me a man of the marrying kind. You know the kind with a job, a vehicle (that runs...), has some manners, and maybe decent in-laws. I know I know the in-laws thing was pushing it. Yep I was gonna find me one of those fellows, come you know what or high water. Being that the word had been set out there, well my friends, my married friends that is, were all on a mission. My single friends were still out there drinking Cosmos, playing coy and dang sure not sharing the phone numbers they collected at happy hour.
So anyway back to the story, so you know when you aren't married, you wanna' be, and well sometimes when you are taken, you'd rather be alone.....well at that time, I wasn't and I wanted to be, all married up that is, so I turned to my friends, my family and anyone who would listen onto this grand idea of mine called "Find me Mr. Right, not Mr. Right Now..." and I will be danged if I didn't go in hook, line and sinker. But with hindsite, not sinker, just hook and line.
Now that he and I are no longer a we, yep that is right, I am a statistic, I realize that a big fancy wedding, moving from state to godforesaken state and not really knowing each other is not going to end well. We probably did everything wrong (NOT IMMORAL) that a couple could do, which over time I will share with you, now that I see a slight bit of humor in it.....but we did one thing right and that is my little Peedles, yep my mini-me 2 year old who I do believe hung the moon. Okay so she didn't actually climb a ladder and put Mr. Moon up there, but she did win the Miss West Texas Baby Pagent at 6 mo. old, so to me that is the same thing. Anyway I tend to get off track, but there are some things you will learn about me, so I might as well get them out in the open so we can start this great friendship.
1. I am a Texas Native, you can take me out of Texas, you can't take Texas out of me EVER.
2. I am proud, yep of my friends, family and life in general, don't like it, then don't read it.
3. Black and White, not like a zebra, but there is no hem hawing around in my world.
4. I love love love to cook, and I am going to share with you some of my lip smacking recipes.
5. I believe in three things, God, Babies and Texas. Did I mention Texas....
6. The higher the hair the closer to heaven.
Well, I am going to sign off for now, but I hope this is the beginning of a great partnership.
